Rentify is a UK-based peer-to-peer marketplace designed to help people make better use of the items they already own and connect with skilled local service providers.
Many everyday items — from bikes and tools to equipment and spare rooms — sit unused for most of the time. Meanwhile, talented individuals offer services like photography, catering, beauty, and tutoring in every community. Rentify brings it all together in one platform, making it easy to rent items and book services safely and securely.

How Rentify Works
Rentals:
1. Hosts list items they wish to rent out.
2. Renters browse listings and select rental duration (hourly, daily, or weekly).
3. Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
4. Funds are released to Hosts after the rental begins, subject to our policies.
Services:
1. Service Providers create a listing with packages, pricing, and availability.
2. Customers browse services, select a package, pick a date and time slot.
3. Payment is processed securely through Stripe at checkout.
4. Payments are held securely until the Customer confirms the service was delivered (or auto-confirmed after 24 hours).
5. Payouts are then released to Service Providers via Stripe Connect.
Rentify charges a 10% service fee on all bookings (rentals and services). All service payments are protected — if a provider cancels, the customer is automatically refunded in full. Optional promotional services are available to increase visibility.
Trust & Verification
To maintain a safe marketplace:
- Users are required to verify their email accounts.
- Additional verification may be required for certain activities.
- All activity is logged and timestamped for security and dispute resolution purposes.
- Hosts may be required to upload condition documentation before rental start.
- Service Providers can build their reputation through customer reviews and ratings.
We maintain digital records of booking confirmations, communications, and evidence to help resolve disputes fairly.
Our Role
Rentify is a technology platform that connects Hosts with Renters and Service Providers with Customers.
We do not:
- Own listed items or provide services directly
- Act as a rental or service provider
- Guarantee item condition, service quality, or outcomes
- Participate directly in rental or service agreements
All agreements are made directly between users. Service Providers are independent individuals, not employees or contractors of Rentify.
Support & Dispute Handling
We provide structured dispute resolution processes and review evidence from both parties when necessary.
Funds may be temporarily held during investigations to ensure fair outcomes.
